More than a Single Action.
A Collective Impact.
At South Shore Food Bank, we are building more than a network of pantries, we are building a movement. We believe that everyone has something to give, and every contribution of time, talent, and treasure helps strengthen the foundation of our entire community. Whether you have an hour to give, a professional skill to share, or the resources to invest, you are a critical part of this shared solution. Join us!
Give Your Time
Our volunteers are the heart of our operations. They are the friendly faces at our pantries, the caring hands that pack our meals, and the dedicated drivers on our delivery routes. We have roles for every ability and schedule.
Make a direct impact by volunteering with one of our specific programs. Opportunities include becoming a "Garden Angel" in our Pantry Garden, a "Made with Love" cook in the kitchen, a driver for our Home Delivery program, or a warehouse volunteer at our regional hub.
Become a Community Ambassador by rallying your colleagues, faith group, or civic organization for a dedicated volunteer day. It's a powerful way to build teamwork while making a tangible difference.
Invest Your Resources
Financial contributions provide the fuel for all of our work. From funding our refrigerated fleet, to purchasing culturally relevant food for our pantries, every dollar you give is an investment in a more food-secure South Shore.
Join our monthly giving program. As a Sustainer, your recurring donation provides the stable, predictable funding that allows us to plan ahead and respond to community needs the moment they arise.
We invite local businesses to join us in a "full-spectrum commitment" that goes beyond a simple donation. Let's work together to sponsor an event like "Food Fight", lend your staff for a volunteer day, or provide critical in-kind support like transportation and logistical services.
Lead a Community Project
Empower your own neighborhood to join the movement. We can provide the guidance and support for you to lead a project that directly benefits our neighbors.
Organize a collection at your workplace or community center to help us provide neighbors with the spices they need to cook meals that feel like home.
Partner with a local school to ensure its informal pantry or "Hunger-Free Locker" is always stocked with snacks for students.
Go beyond the basics and host a drive for specific needs, like kid-friendly items for our Backpack Program or supplies for our monthly hygiene distribution.
Attend an event
Join us at one of our community fundraisers or events. It's a fun way to support our mission and connect with others who are passionate about ending hunger on the South Shore.
